Everyone has been to an all you can eat buffet restaurant. But have you ever stopped to think about what the phrase "all you can eat" really implies?
Do restaurants allow you to spend unlimited time at their establishment, so you can truly get "all you can eat"? Or do they force you to leave at what they call a "closing time"?
And if you have purchased "all you can eat", does the restaurant allow you to share some of your food with a friend or relative? Or do they force that person to pay the same price you did?
Since the restaurant supposedly has enough food to give anyone "all they can eat", do they allow homeless, hungry people to enter the restaurant and eat? Or do they only permit entrance to the wealthy?
And what does the restaurant do with the leftover food at the end of the business day? Surely they give the leftovers to the hungry and destitute, you ask. Think again. The food ends up in the dumpster.
Think about it - the restaurant claims to sell you unlimited food at a specific price. If the amount of food you eat approaches infinity, the value of the food in dollars per pound reaches zero. According to the logic of the restaurant, the food is worthless. But they still make you pay. And your friends and family. And the people who need food the most are turned away because they have no money.
It is our belief that NO restaurant has the right to ask anyone to pay any amount of money to dine at an all you can eat buffet.
In 1996 the quiet town of Springfield, Montana began to stand up for itself. Buck's, the only restaurant in the little town, had a daily all you can eat buffet for 8 dollars. The citizens became dissatisfied and concerned about the obvious exploitation of the consumer.
The citizens of Springfield, Montana decided to boycott Buck's. Nonviolent demonstrations were held in the parking lot day and night. Finally the owners of Buck's became aware of the oppressiveness of their policy of mandatory monetary compensation in exchange for the buffet.
Now, about two years later, Buck's is the most popular restaurant in the entire county. The buffet has been LIBERATED - all you can eat for zero dollars. Leftover food is taken directly to the local homeless shelter. And what amazes many people is that Buck's restaurant is more prosperous than ever. Due to the increase in popularity of the restaurant, the owners have been able to afford new pool tables and a mechanical bull.
Stories like this do not have to be uncommon. It can happen in your town. It can happen tomorrow. You can make it happen. You can be the person who LIBERATES the all you can eat buffet in your town!!!
Our group, BuLC, the Buffet Liberation Coalition, wants to see an end to the oppression of the people. It is a long and difficult road, but we will not rest until ALL "all you can eat" buffets across America are liberated.
Methods of Resistance
Eat - Ins
Enter a buffet restaurant with a large group of people, and refuse to pay
for the food you have eaten. If tensions rise, refuse to leave the
building. Chain yourself to tables, chairs, etc.
Restaurant Protests
Block the entrance to a restaurant, preventing anyone from getting in or
out.
Blitzkrieg Bonanza
Only to be done with physically fit and daring groups of individuals.
Rush into a buffet restaurant, grab as much food as you can from the
buffet, then run out. It is a good idea to bring large containers with
you to fill with food. Scream at the top of your lungs the whole time to
intimidate and confuse the oppressors. This tactic should be done with
extreme caution and perfect timing.
Buffet Sabotage
Seek temporary employment at an all you can eat buffet restaurant, then
your group will have a person "on the inside" when attempting one of the
aforementioned resistance tactics.
Do NOT attempt resistance tactics in areas where they are illegal.
Answer:
That is exactly what they want you to think. Consider this...
multi-billion dollar corporations lay off American workers and build
factories on foreign soil, and then turn around and tell you if they don't
didn't do it they'd lose money or go out of business. These are the same
people who own the restaurants. Its time to stop believing the lies and
stand up for ourselves. In addition, there are documented cases (such as
Buck's in Springfield, Montana) where a buffet is liberated, and the
popularity of the restaurant increases greatly to the point where profits
soar to unprecedented levels. Treating the consumer with respect is
ALWAYS good for business.
Answer:
A wise man once said, "God, Guts, and Guns. It's what America was founded
on. Let's try to keep it that way." This motto also applies to our
situation. God, a.k.a. HID, has called us to this cause. Guts are
necessary to digest the food, and Guns because we can, have, and will.
People, we give you our cry for freedom. Our mission is to liberate all
buffets, and our greater cause is to liberate America! "God bless
America, Land of the free."
